What a long, strange trip it's been...

Okay, so we didn't hike the whole AT, but since Eric was getting married at Big Canoe, we decided to head down a day early and do some hiking in northwest Georgia. Our primary goal was to reach Springer Mountain, the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail, but we also spent some time exploring Amicalola Falls State Park.

High Points:

• Doug dropping the phone in Russel's lap on the plane.
• Meeting at the Atlanta airport after long and/or bumpy flights
• "You're gate changed three times!"
• The additional hike to Baggage Claim
• Looking for the mall
• Looking for a bathroom in the mall
• Asking the workers at the local convince store if they had any "Summer Sausage", apparently a northern delicacy
• The shoe fight over the loft
• "Motion Detector!"
• Getting lost in the network of USFS fire roads
• "Bump"
• "Talk to me!"
