June 21, 1991 - The Franconia Ridge

This was the first of the M.O.T.D. psyco hikes: The Franconia Ridge. 14 grueling miles.
Started at the osseo trail to mt flume (4328). Took the franconia ridge trail to Mt. Liberty
(4460), Mt. Lincoln (5089), and finally Mt. Lafayette (5242). Took the greenleaf
trail to the greenleaf hut. Took the old bridle path to lafayette and pete's car.
High points:
- Meeting Doug in Concord at 5:00 am.
- Eric's cancer logs.
- Jeff's land mines.
- Waiting for doug.
- Finding out what straight really means.
- Doug's blisters.
- Pete losing his hat.
- Planting the phils.
- Eric: "we have to go now!"
- The bear on Mt. Lincoln
- The wind ot the ridge.
- Getting attacked by U.S.A.F. A-10's
- Hanging at the Greenleaf hut.
- Signing the ledger at the Greenleaf hut.
- Supper at the Flume Visitors Center.
